During the course we help people who’s entering in the ESD protected area to acquire user-level knowledge.
During the course the knowledge of people staying and working in the ESD protected area for an extended period of time is acquired.
During the course, students get to know ESD phenomenon and how to defense against it, on a theoretical and PRACTICAL level. They can now learn how to use the protective equipment and tools they have. They can learn everything that is necessary for effective defense and control. In the framework of the training, the basic principles of electrostatics, charging processes and electrostatic phenomenon are explained. Students learn about harmful consequences of charge accumulation and the danger it causes. The basic principles of protection and the most common means of protection are revealed, as well as the standard measurement methods, instruments and the most important measuring devices used to control EPA areas. During the training, the students will get to know the tools of active and passive electrostatics, the physics of charging, its effects on the human body, semiconductor devices and flammable materials. Options to measure the charging and the factors affecting it, the recognition of danger and risk, as well as the special means of protection, the basic design principles of the protection system and the control (measurement) possibilities (principles, procedures) are explained. The most important standards and the organizational and economic issues of defense are also described. During a practical session, the students gain proficiency in the use of electrostatic measurement methods, instruments and measuring devices, and the qualification of materials.
During the course, in addition to the ones that were previously listed, we explain entire conduct of an ESD protection audit, including documents and measurements. Auditor training is carried out in accordance with the ISO19011 and ISO17021 standards. The instructor of the course provides the tools and materials necessary for the practice, but it is also possible to use your own tools/materials.
